It’s been a minute since we’ve been able to be with friends and family. Significant milestones have passed in a very different way while we’ve been in isolation. There have been consequences for small businesses as well with many struggling. It was this mix of challenges that pushed me to take action on an idea I’d been mulling over for some time.
During the lockdown I’ve been busy connecting with other small businesses, coming up with a project which spreads tautoko to small, local makers while also bringing you beautiful NZ designed and created goods.
Coming soon, Koakoa Design will be introducing a limited run of curated giftboxes featuring handmade and locally produced items you can share with the people you love while also showing tautoko for small business owners and craftspeople in our communities.
As te rā o ngā māmā is fast approaching we’ll start with the wāhine for the first collections.
Over the next week, I’ll be introducing you to some of the brands who have come on board so you can get to know the small biz folk behind the mahi.
