I'm so happy to continue the maker series where I can introduce you to some of the makers behind the Koakoa Design gift boxes. The Koakoa Design gift boxes draw on the creative talents of small businesses, artisans and craftspeople based in New Zealand and around the Pacific.
One of the first makers to come on board was the lovely Jenna, the talented wahine behind the brand Motlied Kids.
I love turbans. I'm a busy wahine, I have kids, mahi to do and sweet _ all time to do it all in. Turbans are a great option - they save time in a hellova stylish way. Win win.
I chose Motlied Kids turbans because of the clear quality of the crafting, the beautiful breathable fabrics and the designs are stand outs.
Here's Jenna to tell us a bit about herself and her business -
Mother of one wee boy, I have a BA in Gender Studies and Art History and a postgraduate Diploma in Fashion Design.
Motlied Kids is the fruition of years of dreaming that I've finally had the courage to dedicate myself to beginning in 2019.
The brand began as I tried to find my creative identity again after having my wee boy and I am SO excited I am able to work from home doing what I love most.
I design and create sunhats and turbans for babies and now Mama's too! I also have a selection of bibs, headbands and hairclips with new pieces currently under construction.
I've created this brand of baby accessories that not only function great with an emphasis on natural fibres but also allow Mum's and babies to express their own style.
