I'm so excited to introduce you to some of the makers behind the Koakoa Design gift boxes. The Koakoa Design gift boxes (coming soon) draw on the creative talents of small businesses, artisans and craftspeople based in New Zealand and around the Pacific.
One of the small businesses Koakoa Design has connected with to bring you handmade gorgeousness is a wahine whose business has been operating in the South Island for the past 5-6 years as Panna Soaps.
I adore handcrafted soaps - they elevate everyday moments into something special. It's so important when your daily grind is busy as all hell to insert those moments into life where you can. A special tea, a gorgeous soap - treating your senses is great for your well-being.
I chose the range at Panna Soaps because of the ingredients (what they leave out is as important as what they put in to the soaps) as well as the appeal of how these lovely soaps look and smell.
I'll let the wahine behind the brand tell you more -
My name is Anna. I am a Hungarian, Christchurch-based soap maker since 2014, specialising in natural vegan soaps with no palm oil.
The name ‘Panna’ is a Hungarian nickname for Anna, which was given to me when I was a little girl.
All my soaps are handcrafted in small batches and made with the cold process method with non-GMO ingredients and no artificial preservatives. All bars are scented with pure essential oils that provide a nice subtle aromatherapy experience as you bath or shower. The colours come from natural ingredients like clays, herbs, coffee, cocoa powder, spices.
As Panna Soaps are natural soaps I recommend using them within 12 months of purchase. Although they will not go off after that time, you may notice some changes. Some natural colours and the scents from pure essential oils may fade over time.
